Welcoming New Leaders to Our Youth Impact Team

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin, our mission is powered by people — dedicated, passionate, and deeply committed leaders who believe in creating Great Futures for every child who walks through our doors. This season, we are thrilled to welcome five exceptional professionals to our Youth Impact team. Their combined experience spans youth development, behavioral health, literacy support, workforce development, community leadership, and more.

Each brings a unique story, a powerful skillset, and a shared belief in the potential of every young person.

Meet the newest members of our Youth Impact Leadership Team:

Greg Lee — Brooks Road Clubhouse Director

Greg brings over 20 years of experience working with youth in special education settings, including a decade of leadership roles focused on supporting children with exceptional needs. He holds a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from National University.

Greg specializes in positive behavioral support and trauma-informed practices — critical tools for helping youth navigate challenges and build trust, confidence, and stability. He is committed to partnering with families, staff, and community members to create safe, supportive, and joyful environments for kids.

Born and raised in San Diego, Greg moved to the North Bay in 2015. He is the proud father of two young children, Jayden and Emilia, and pet parent to a French Bulldog named Gus. His family enjoys exploring parks, relaxing at the Russian River, and soaking in the beauty of Sonoma County. He is excited to lead the Brooks Road community and strengthen programs that help kids thrive.

Marion Villalba — Regional Director

With more than 23 years of experience in youth services and behavioral health, Marion joins BGCSM as a proven innovator in expanding mental health infrastructure for vulnerable youth and families. She holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and has played a vital role in developing and implementing over 10 behavioral health locations across Los Angeles County.

Marion’s work in behavioral health, youth empowerment, and academic success has helped youth pursue competitive STEM programs at UCLA, USC, Cal State Long Beach, and beyond. She is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that youth have access to evidence-based, culturally responsive, and equitable mental health support.

Originally from New Mexico, Marion carries the beauty of her roots with her — including her love of turquoise, art, and adventure. She is a proud mom of two grown sons, an avid hiker, an opera enthusiast, and a lover of puzzles and long conversations.

She looks forward to building strong relationships across our organization and contributing to innovative, impactful programs for youth and families.

Ricky Ramos — Regional Director

Ricky brings more than a decade of leadership experience in employment social enterprise, workforce development, and nonprofit program design. His work has centered around supporting individuals facing long-term unemployment and helping them build confidence, economic mobility, and long-term stability.

Before joining BGCSM, Ricky served as a Senior Director at Downtown Streets Team, where he led employment programs across the Bay Area and spearheaded transformational opportunities for marginalized community members. His leadership style is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to equitable programming.

Ricky is a proud new dad who moved to Sebastopol with his wife and daughter in early 2024. He enjoys backpacking, camping, creative projects, and plays pickup soccer — including on a team that competes against residents at San Quentin as part of a restorative rehabilitation program.

His passion for expanding access and uplifting communities makes him a powerful addition to our regional leadership team.

Michael Delagnes — Lucchesi Clubhouse Director

A graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Childhood Development and a concentration in Community Outreach, Michael brings a dynamic blend of youth programming and large-team leadership experience.

He previously served at the Marin County YMCA, where he built youth sports programs — including the Junior Warriors — and coordinated their Adventure Guides. Most recently, he served as Club Manager at The Bay Club’s Marin location, overseeing a team of more than 50 staff and daily operations for over 1,000 member visits.

Michael is passionate about building strong sports programs, creative youth services, and a welcoming environment for families in Petaluma. Known for his humor, positivity, and unbeatable sports knowledge, he proudly embraces the nickname “Beyoncé.”

He is also a Pokémon trainer, music lover, pop culture guru, and full-time community builder. We’re thrilled to have him leading the Lucchesi team.

Lisa Pennes — Area Director

Lisa joins BGCSM with over 20 years of experience in youth development and community leadership. Her work has spanned roles as a youth leader, program manager, executive director, and coach to emerging leaders across the Bay Area. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Davis and has dedicated her career to serving families through programs in academic support, workforce development, health services, resource access, and more.

Lisa’s approach is grounded in the belief that young people thrive when surrounded by informed, supportive adults who recognize their strengths and possibilities. She is passionate about youth leadership and has helped curate life-changing programs, including co-founding the Power Youth Movement, directing wellness festivals, organizing cultural events, and designing professional conferences.

Outside of work, Lisa finds joy in family, friends, self-care, game nights, and time outdoors. She loves hiking, traveling, reading new books, and dreaming up sustainability projects that support future generations. We are honored to welcome her to the BGCSM leadership team.

A Stronger Future, Together

We are energized and inspired by the passion, talent, and dedication each of these leaders brings to BGCSM. Their experience will strengthen our mission, deepen our impact, and help create even more opportunities for the more than 11,000 young people we serve each year.

Please join us in welcoming Lisa, Michael, Ricky, Marion, and Greg to the BGCSM community!
