Meet Holly Hawkins: From Club Parent to Board Member

Holly Hawkins

We’re thrilled to welcome Holly Hawkins to the board. Holly’s journey with the Boys & Girls Clubs isn’t just a recent chapter; it’s part of her story, from team member to Club parent to now helping steer the ship.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Exchange Bank, Holly brings more than two decades of HR leadership experience in finance, nonprofits, and even the wine world. Beyond her professional chops, it’s her heart for community and deep belief in the potential of young people that make her such a valuable addition to the board.

We asked Holly a few questions to help you get to know her better, and her answers reflect the same warmth, passion, and wisdom she brings to everything she does.

What values did your family or upbringing pass on to you that still guide you today?

“My Grandma was kind and had emotional space for everyone. She supported all of us by giving unconditional love, sage advice, endless hugs and always laughed at our jokes. She passed these traits to my Mom, who has lived these values and shared them with me as I grew up. My Dad has always been an unwavering supporter of mine, even when he didn’t agree with the path I choose. My family has showed me the way and I cherish these values- love of family, always cheer on those you love, and children are the greatest gift.”

What kind of kid were you?

“Growing up I loved music (still do), loved to sing, I even played the piano. I was outgoing and I always had a small, tight knit friend group.”

When did you first understand what it meant to give back or be part of a community?

“I made my first-ever donation to a non-profit called Operation Smile in my early 20s. It felt really good to know I helped a child somewhere in the world without access to health care. Knowing that you can make a difference is quite an energizing feeling, you want to do it again and again!”

That spirit of giving back is baked into everything Holly does. During her time at Club she saw firsthand what access, support, and opportunity can mean for kids. Now, she’s helping shape that impact from a new seat at the table.

We’re lucky to have her, and the kids are even luckier. Welcome to the team, Holly!
